Aquatic and Terrestrial Biota Sampling

CZR has been involved in creating an environmental database for plants and animals on multiple projects. As part of the environmental assessment process for developments, wetland restoration planning, wetland success monitoring, and environmentally sensitive uplands, a biological resource inventory is regularly conducted. Field surveys are conducted to inventory plant and animal communities, and the identified communities are then displayed on graphics for each project site. In addition, wetland mitigation success monitoring involves assessing the percentage of species survivability and areal coverage. The plant and animal species that are inventoried are recorded and compared during subsequent monitoring periods.
